Refutation of those who question tabarruk bi al-athar ("seeking blessings" from the Prophet's relics) as valid Islamic Practice
Tawassul is the very heart of Islam, and the shahada contains a declaration of belief in tawassul...

2 Al-Albani: Concise Guide to the Chief Innovator of Our Time Nasir al-Albani is the arch-innovator of the Wahhabis ... in our time. A watch repairman by trade, al-Albani is a self-taught claimant to hadith scholarship who has no known teacher in any of the Islamic sciences and has admitted not to have memorized the Book of Allah nor any book of hadith, fiqh, `aqīda, usūl, or grammar.

He remains the qibla of the people of Innovation, self-styled re-formers of Islam ... and Wahhabi sympathizers... Most of the contemporary Sunni scholars warned of his heresy and many of them wrote articles or full-length works against him...

3 Advice to our Brothers The Scholars of Najd
Excerpt from al-Sayyid Yusuf al-Rifa`i's recent epistle Nasiha li-Ikhwanina `Ulama' Najd
I decided, after the Prayer of Counsel (al-istikhāra), to address you with this sincere faithful advice which, I hope, will be accepted.

It is not permitted to charge Muslims - believers in monotheism who pray with you, fast, pay zakāt, and perform pilgrimage shouting over and over, "Ever at Your call, O Allah! Ever at Your call, there is no partner with You, ever at Your call! Truly all glory and praise, all favor and grace belong to You, and all sovereignty and dominion! No-one can be a partner to You!" - It is not permitted, by Law, to charge them with idolatry (al-shirk) the way your books and publications are filled with such charges...

4 Al-Albani Unveiled: 50 Errors
Al-Albani's weakening of some of Imam Bukhari's and Imam Muslim's Ahadith
Al-Albani has said ... that any Hadith ... of al- Bukhari and Muslim is Sahih, ... because the Ahadith are in fact correct. But he clearly contradicts himself, since he has weakened Ahadith from Bukhari and Muslim himself!   ***** click here
5 Al-'Uthaymin

al-Uthaymin made the following statements in his Fatawa; "We must not call the Messenger of Allah Habībullāh ("the Beloved of Allah") but only Khalīlullāh ("the Intimate Friend of Allah").

6 How Would You Respond to the Claim that Sufism is Bid'a? A good & concise discussion on Sufism

I would respond by looking to see how traditional ulama or Islamic scholars have viewed it. For the longest period of Islamic history--from Umayyad times to Abbasid, to Mameluke, to the end of the six-hundred-year Ottoman period--Sufism has been taught and understood as an Islamic discipline, like Qur'anic exegesis (tafsir), hadith, Qur'an recital (tajwid), tenets of faith (ilm al-tawhid) or any other, each of which preserved some particular aspect of the din or religion of Islam.

7 Mawlid According to the Salafi Ulama "To celebrate and to honor the birth of the Prophet (s) and to take it as an honored season, as some of the people are doing, is good and in it there is a great reward, because of their good intentions in honoring the Prophet (s)."

8 The Permissibility of Celebrating the Meelad-un Nabi (s)
In refutation of the fatwa of Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Baz of Saudi Arabia

9 Should We Celebrate Mawlid (The Prophet's (s) Birthday)? We find nowadays publications filled with lies and deception which mislead many Muslims into thinking negatively about the honorable Mawlid of the Prophet. These publications claim that to celebrate the Mawlid is an act of innovation that goes against Islam. This is far from the truth, and it is therefore necessary for those who can speak clearly to help clarify and reverse the doubts surrounding this most blessed day. It is with this humble intention that I present the following proofs in support of celebrating our beloved Prophet's birthday. Dr. Isa al-Mani' al-Humayri

12 Al-Albani Unveiled: An Exposition of His Errors and Other Important Issues Al-Albani has not made a handful of forgivable errors, but rather well over 1200, which are only forgivable if he himself admits and corrects his mistakes by repenting in front of the
People of Knowledge, as well as the sincere believers who may have been relying on his 'classifications of Hadith'.

13 Bid'a in Sunnah and Shariah
A talk by Shaykh Nuh Ha Mim Keller
... one of the greatest events in impact upon Muslims in the last thousand years is the end of the Islamic caliphate at the first of this century, an event that marked not only the passing of temporal, political authority, but in many respects the passing of the consensus of orthodox Sunni Islam as well.

... to clarify ... misunderstandings of the concept of innovation (bid'a)
in Islam, in light of the hadith,
"Beware of matters newly begun, for every matter newly begun is innovation, every innovation is
misguidance, and every misguidance is in hell."

14 Celebrating the Birth of the Holy Prophet (s)

Is there evidence for the celebration of Mawlid -- the Prophet's Birthday -- in the Qur'an and the Sunna?

What do the Imams and scholars of the Four Schools say?

What about the contemporary "Salafi" scholars who forbade it on the grounds that it is an innovation?

16 Is it Haram to Wear Garments that Reach Below the Ankles? "Wearing garments that hang below the ankles" is the first of the so-called "common errors" listed in the "Salafi" manual entitled "Errors in Prayers that must be Avoided."
